Padel Project UK launches its new site in Potters Bar

Padel Project UK is excited to announce the launch of its brand-new centre in Potters Bar, located at Old Owen’s Sports Ground, Coopers Lane, EN6 4NF. Equipped with two state-of-the-art, floodlit padel courts, the centre is now open to the public. No prior experience is required, making it an ideal venue for anyone looking to try a new sport!

What is Padel?

Padel is the world’s fastest-growing sport, blending elements of tennis and squash. Originating in Mexico, it has become Spain's second most popular sport after football. Padel is accessible, addictive, affordable, sociable, and easy to learn. Played in doubles format, it involves four players on the court simultaneously. Similar to tennis, players volley the ball over a net, but unique to padel, they can also use the glass walls surrounding the court to maintain the rally. Rallies in padel tend to last up to 70% longer than those in traditional tennis, as the ball moves slightly slower and the court is smaller. This exciting sport is swiftly gaining global popularity and is enjoyable for both beginners and seasoned players.
